Position Summary:
The Department Operations Analyst will drive project-based work including, the development and execution of event plans, the creation and implementation of process improvement across the department and when applicable support the development of best practices across a variety of verticals (e.g. drive team ticket sales and sponsorship revenue, marketing).
Additionally, you will provide a wide variety of administrative services assisting senior members of the department. The ideal candidate will require innovative thinking, the ability to push timelines along, strong ability to execute in the moment, and influence and service multiple constituents.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and project manage event/workshop timelines
- Handle, plan and execute various portions of the TMBO / GSI events, functions and budgets including, but not limited to, on-site hotel coordination, meeting technology, social functions, awards ceremonies and attendee management
- Identify, design, and implement department training tools and event process innovations
- Provide general administrative support to two Senior Vice Presidents, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, proactive calendar management, and travel coordination
- Handle the completion and timely submissions of expense reports
- Planning and scheduling departmental gatherings (e.g., happy hours, department meetings)
- Crafting materials as needed (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, confidential documents) with attention to detail and accuracy
- Acting in a professional and ethical manner
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 1-2 years of administrative and or event related experience
- Ability to think creatively and be a problem solver while being adaptable and results-driven
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Expertise in managing multiple tasks at once
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, relationship builder, teammate, service minded and self-starter
- Excellent digital literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Zoom
- Strong analytical and research skills desired
- Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently, with little to no direction, from conception to completion
- Curiosity and desire for continued learning, growth, and development
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Salary Range:
- $65,000 to $75,000 per year
