Field Service Analyst / Desktop Support Technician
We are looking to hire an experienced Field Service Analyst / Desktop Support Technician to look after the service and maintenance needs of our customers. As a field service technician, you will be required to work from On-site client location and provide Hardware Warranty Support, Break Fix, Desk Side Support, troubleshooting, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and repair equipment as needed. A top-level field service technician efficiently manages all service callouts, providing high-quality service and repairs for any job size.
This position will be a client-based position and requires working onsite daily at our client's facility - Cambridge/MA.
Role Responsibilities
Working in a client managed environment to Installs, configures, validates, and troubleshoots desktops, Laptops, and associated peripherals.
Coordinates with Client End User on expectations and availability to conducted Managed Client Services.
Performs basic hardware trouble shooting, parts replacement, warranty support, system upgrades, and basic deployments & repair on Client Assets in campus / remote locations.
Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact End User experience and follows through on action steps.
Installs, maintains, and optimizes desktop/notebook configurations at customer sites.
Strives to meet all Client SLAs & Customer Satisfaction Goals.
Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches.
Repair Dell Laptop and Desktop PCs including troubleshooting and replacement of internal components.
Meeting with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair.
Conducting routine equipment servicing out in the field.
Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment failures.
Repairing equipment and replacing faulty parts.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Works with team to support achievement of project milestones and deliver on internal and/or external commitments.
Maintaining equipment stock / parts lockers
Providing preventive equipment maintenance.
Additional skills
A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required; additional certifications for various hardware platforms may be required.
Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or field support technician.
Knowledgeable of Windows Operating System environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Physically able to lift and move Enterprise and Client technology hardware in our customer environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
Strong troubleshooting skills
A driven, self-starting individual
A reliable personal vehicle
Required to work from the customer location.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to problem-solve.
