Brief Job Description:
Responsible for providing direct supervision to residents and juvenile supervision officers in the Bell County Juvenile Services Center. Additional duties include ensuring compliance with all Departmental and Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) Standards as they apply to the facility and providing training to staff. May serve as the primary supervisor when needed.
Basic Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- To be considered: a. Preferred two (2) years' experience as a certified juvenile supervision officer. b. A current certification as a Juvenile Supervision Officer from the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance and have a reliable means of transportation.
- Must possess physical stamina to handle potential outbursts of violent residents, and be able to restrain a resident who is resisting
- Must have the ability to work with a diverse population.
- Must be of good moral character.
- No staff member may possess, while on duty, any firearm, illegal weapons, or chemical agents.
