Flow is seeking a Digital Product Manager to help Flow manage, maintain, update, and build our proprietary internally developed suite of digital products. The Digital Product Manager will be on the cutting edge of retail transformation within one of the largest industries in America. Flow’s digital products include Flowauto.com FlowGarage Mobile App, Flow Offer to Purchase (FOP), Flow Express (FLEX), and Inventory Head Quarters (IHQ). These products are both customer facing products and internally utilized management products. The Digital Product Manager will work alongside the Director of Technology, Scrum Master, Software Development Team, Flow Marketing Services, and the President of Flow Management Services. This job requires independence and will give unprecedented access to the digital strategy of a leading retailer within a revolutionizing industry.


Flow is a leading automobile retailer with over 45 franchises and 1,800 employees headquartered in the 500 w. 5th building in Winston-Salem, NC. Flow believes in bringing a transformation retail and ownership experience to its customers, this experience is delivered through its expert team members at our dealership locations and also through its proprietary suite of in-house developed digital products. The Digital Products Manager would work within Flow Management Services (FMS). FMS encompasses all of the support service Flow has consolidated and operate out of its 500 w. 5th headquarters, these consolidated business units include Flow Marketing Services, the Customer Relationship Center, Flow Accounting, Flow Software Development Team, Flow IT Services, Human Capital Development, and various special operational groups.


Objectives of this Role

  • Execute strategic vision related to Flow’s digital products
  • Outline product updates and developments, turn outlines into project plans
  • Manage actualizing product plans into reality by working with management team
  • Seek stakeholder feedback on current products and proposed plans and updates
  • Maintain documentation surrounding current products and proposed updates
  • Communicate update or feature enhancement plans to management and development team for approval
  • Collect feedback from and conduct training for stakeholder and end-users (both live and virtual)


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Manage Flow’s digital product roadmap
  • Work with executive team to outline steps to bring new products and developments to fruition
  • Actively manage current digital product landscape for needed updates and user feedback
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure fit of digital products
  • Partner with Software Development Team and to manage roadmap and seek alignment
  • Utilize Azure DevOps planning tools to document digital product details and create tangible tasks for the Software Development Team
  • Evaluate products for performance and needed changes
  • Survey competitive and customer landscape to suggest new products and features


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Great communication skills, including the ability to present
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to negotiate across the organization for project success
  • Understanding of user preferences and user-focused software design
  • Associate Degree or work experience in digital product management
  • Experience working with technical team and software development professionals


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Interest in automotive
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to write SQL and some experience with front-end software development
  • Experience with project management software


Compensation & Details

  • Full-time position, 40 – 50 hours a week depending on work load
