MERT Enterprises, Inc. has multiple new openings for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the Greater Bangor area for our 2½ Day shifts working with one or two adult consumers who have a variety of Intellectual, Physical and Mental Health disabilities and Autism
2½ Day Shifts – work a compressed 40-hr/wk. live-in, on one of these three shifts: Saturday-Monday, Monday-Wednesday, or Wednesday-Saturday; you have the same 2½ days of work and 4½ days “off” every week. This live-in position means you live at the consumer’s home providing support to two consumers who live there.
Benefits include:
$16.50/hr. starting pay with no experience
Training is fully paid
$1.00/hr. “Weekend Shift Differential” on top of your regular pay rate
2 pay increases in your first year
Annual pay increase on your anniversary date of hire
Significant 40-hour job-shadowing which is paid time

2 weeks paid vacation
9 paid holidays at time-and-a-half pay if you work that day

Employment at MERT Enterprises, Inc. is contingent upon having a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Applicants must be able to furnish proof of the highest level of education completed. Only applicants who are fully COVID-vaccinated will be considered. Applicants will also need to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record (DMV) check, APS (Adult Protective Services), CPS (Child Protective Services) check and professional reference check. Personal vehicle use is required as-needed to transport our consumers – your vehicle must seat four people comfortably and vehicle should be available for your use 24/7. Additionally, applicant should have good, legible handwriting skills and strong reading comprehension skills to document daily information. Verbal communication skills are essential to provide information to others. Applicants should also understand they will be responsible for administering daily medications to our consumers. Applicants already having prior DSP work experience and CRMA, DSP, and First Aid/CPR certifications may have their starting pay rate adjusted upward based on related work experience and current certifications.
