This role will lead the growth of our paid products across Messaging apps through direct relationships with Meta’s Mid-Market clients, and lead all end client sales activities for our business messaging products within the Mid-Market vertical. The leader will own acquisition of new mid-market customers from lead to close, and growing/upselling our customers after they are live on the product. They will build and lead a global mid-market organization and play a key role within the Global Business Solutions Team within the Business Messaging organization.The successful candidate will be a natural leader who has led global sales in a SaaS business. They will be highly entrepreneurial, strategic, and results-oriented with proven success in building and leading a global team, building sales programs and processes, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires an experienced sales professional, with a track record in the B2B/SaaS space and experience in managing in the mid-market segment. This is a hands-on, high execution leadership role which will require excellent sales and interpersonal skills, and will involve day-to-day coaching, pipeline management and QA to devise and drive execution of sales campaigns.This role will report to the Vice President of Global Business Solutions within the Business Messaging organization.


Director, Mid-Market Sales, Business Messaging Responsibilities:

  • Build and Lead a global high-performing team of Account Executives to drive sales and achieve revenue targets in our Mid-Market segment globally across EMEA, NA, LATAM and APAC
  • Lead operational execution for sales performance, forecasting, and strategic coaching for the mid-market vertical. Manage daily and weekly activities, pipeline analysis, and forecasting to ensure scalable, repeatable, and above-quota results
  • Build outbound prospecting campaigns working with Business Development, Field Marketing and Partners
  • Work in collaboration with Marketing, Partners and Sales to build Go-To-Market strategy and messaging
  • Develop global mid-market playbooks that clearly articulate best practices for building a world class sales engine
  • Develop a medium and long term strategic plan for Meta’s mid-market vertical globally
  • Ensure the implementation of improvements in business processes yielding increased sales performance, and/or higher operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans for all regions across the world, prioritizing the most scalable and valuable markets
  • Willingness to travel ~40% of the time



Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in the B2B SaaS and Enterprise Software space
  • Cross-functional, matrix/stakeholder and leadership skills and experience influencing across all levels of an organization
  • Experience building vision, understanding and defining requirements, designing practical solutions, developing supporting business cases and implementing solutions for clients
  • Experience communicating effectively to executive and external audiences
  • Experience working with and building successful relationships with business stakeholders, cross-functional groups and third parties
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve issues strategically
  • Experience inspiring, motivating and enabling personal and career development of team members



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building and growing a global Mid-Market SaaS/Enterprise Software sales business, working closely with product and marketing teams
  • Experience in a high paced organization that has change of a start-up environment across multiple time zones and teams
  • Experience focusing on self-learning and improvement to strive to be better and serve others better in the pursuit of business growth and personal development
  • Understanding of and comfort with how to use data to engage with cross-functional audience
