FUNCTION

The Director of Compliance is responsible for managing (including drafting and implementing) the property Internal Controls, oversees overall training of applicable State and Federal anti-money laundering and regulatory guidelines and Risk Management. Member of the SAR Review Committee, compliance committee, and oversees initiatives to ensure compliance with the Company AML Program.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designated as the divisional anti-money laundering (“AML”) Compliance Officer responsible for day-to-day compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the casino's AML program.
• Oversees monitoring for reportable currency transactions and suspicious activities.
• Educates and provides critical support in building the property’s culture of compliance, including managing all aspects of the Compliance Committee, SAR Committee and the property’s AML Policy (including the AML risk assessment and updates to the AML Policy).
• Act as a liaison for employees and management in AML-related issues.
• Ensure that compliance training is conducted including but not limited to AML.
• Assure compliance with reporting requirements and maintain registration under USA Patriot Act 314(B).
• Monitor and implement employee training and determine in specific instances when and where applicable reports must be filed.
• Develops, implements, and maintains internal controls, standard operating procedures and regulations for state and federal agencies.
• Manage compliance with all applicable recordkeeping requirements, including training records and all recordkeeping required by the BSA.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Correspond and communicate with state regulators, attend meetings as required.
• Manages necessary requirements to maintain business permits and licensing
• Development of staff, training, and evaluating.
• Review regulatory and compliance activities with Senior Management.
• Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Knowledge of state, local and federal laws pertaining to Gaming, Alcohol and Risk.
• Supports the safety initiatives with the OSHA requirements.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• Two to five years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, or analytical position with a 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred
• Valid gaming license.
