DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Role and Responsibilities

J.C. Schultz Enterprises, Inc. / FlagSource is a 103-YEAR-OLD family business. We are full line flag and Banner Manufacturer located in Batavia, IL. Our Products are the highest quality, longest lasting products in our industry. FlagSource is growing at a rapid pace and is looking for an experienced Director of Finance who will manage finance and participate with the executive team on company strategy and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to guide the financial systems that empower us, and keep our finances positioned for continued success. The Director of Finance will have day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position.

· Provide executive leadership in continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives and offer recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities

· Manage the organization’s accounting-related functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit policies, billing, and fixed asset accounting

· Heavy Cost Accounting experience a must for both our Make to Order and Make to Stock parts of the business

· Work with Operations on costing of products in our ERP (Made 2 Manage) Software System

· Coordinate development of annual operating, capital and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same

· Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities, related insurance coverage and risk mitigation

· Thrive on challenge and a rapidly changing environment

· Actively participate using knowledge and experience in acquisitions

· Develop and compile reports for Executive Team to analyze key metrics and trends pertaining to the company’s financial performance

· Monitor business performance with tracking tools and establish corrective measures as needed

· Prepare financial statements, coordinate information with external accounts as needed, and compile reports required by regulatory agencies

· Oversee HR operations by coordinating with external service providers (ex: payroll, benefits, recruitment) and internal staff responsible for other aspects of HR

· Review, evaluate and recommend modifications to existing accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls, to increase efficiency and ensure compliance with GAAP

· Work with Senior Managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting

· Direct the accounting team and ensure that team members are adequately trained and knowledgeable in performing their roles at the expected level of quality

· Participate in a wide variety of other projects and tasks as assigned or requested

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; a master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred

· At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing business

· At least 2-3 years of experience in an Leadership Role

· Excellent leadership skills with steadfast resolve

· Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

· Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

· High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result-orientation

· Must be highly collaborative with President and Executive Team

· Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
