Job description
The Director, Reverse Logistics will be responsible for identifying partnerships with third parties to enable innovative and cost-effective post-sales solutions. They will develop reverse logistics requirements, forecasts for staffing, and component availability. Escalate recurring root cause issues to sales, operations, or supplier quality to reduce returns. This position is located onsite at our Corporate Office in Boston Heights, Ohio.
Key responsibilities for this role will be:
- Develop and execute scalable repair, exchange, and preventative maintenance solutions to support the increased volume of returned furniture products.
- Identify partnerships with third parties to enable innovative and cost-effective post-sales solutions
- Develop reverse logistics requirements forecast for staffing and component availability
- Escalate recurring root cause issues to sales, delivery and DC processing, or supplier quality to reduce returns
- Facilitate a strong understanding of the reverse supply chain services landscape to gauge emerging service options and to recommend new programs
- Lead metrics, scorecards, and regular business reviews internally and with 3rd party service partners
- Model business cases for optimal reverse supply chain considering variables such as sales forecasts, return rates, geographies, BOM cost, and disposition
- Have in depth understanding of the company DC, sales, and delivery processes and functions. Identify key variables that influence the reverse logistics process. Develop and implement departmental changes enhancing return processing optimization.
- Develop and implement performance measurements and internal auditing processes to routinely evaluate operations efficiency and quality.
- Supervise, train, and develop team members in various departmental positions. Effectively communicate coaching and corrective action to ensure compliance with policies and procedures while treating team members fairly and with respect.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related area preferred.
- 5+years of Reverse Logistics experience, preferably in furniture.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Cross functional collaboration; this role will interface with multiple internal functions including but not limited to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Success, Finance, and 3PLs.
- Ability to project manage and scale operations for a rapidly growing customer base.
- Strength in directing logistics programs and strong negotiating skills.
- Ability to prepare and present quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis of decisions.
