Job Description: Job Summary
The People of Southwest Airlines come together to deliver on our Purpose, which is to connect People to what’s important in their lives through friendly, reliable, and low-cost air travel. The Director Sales Marketing invests in the future of Southwest’s People by driving strategy, planning, and execution of sales marketing for Customers and Partners in the Southwest Business space. The Southwest Business Department oversees and manages Southwest’s Corporate and Business Travel, and this Director leads and champions the Sales Marketing Teams in this space to meet awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention. The Director Sales Marketing is excited to connect with, lead, and develop the People and Teams in this space. They’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in their expertise each day, and pilot the future of Sales Marketing for Southwest Business.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Guide and lead Team Members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage Employees

Responsibilities
Accountable for comprehensive Sales Marketing Strategy and Plan to support $5B in annual revenues including GTM strategies and associated analytics
Drive the Southwest Business brand and its associated brand assets (ex: Rapid Rewards Business) in alignment with Company Brand strategy
Responsible for deciding where / when macro comms are shared, producing high-impact and timely content for our Customer Success and Account Teams
Lead B2B media, advertising, and promotional investments
Drive B2B Voice of the Customer insights into action plans to meet Customer needs
Responsible for email and website production along with Data Solutions for Customer audiences and incentives
Lean in across Marketing suite to leverage and promote products, programs and policies to drive increased business travel (e.g., Fare Products, Rapid Rewards, etc.)
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of being able to communicate in executive settings with larger work groups
Skilled in exemplary Leadership with a proven track record of building great teams and developing People
Skilled in exemplary written and oral communication
Skilled in collaboration and relationship management
Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other departments in order to influence business decisions

Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area

Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Travel required (40%) with primary time being spent at hq as senior leader serving cross-functionally between southwest business and marketing

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $187,000 - $194,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
