Corbion is seeking a Director/Senior Director of Procurement, Food Ingredients to lead all aspects of procuring specific North America categories. This role is based at our office in Lenexa, Kansas and reports to the Vice President of Global Procurement. The ideal candidate has food ingredient experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment while generating significant savings and driving continuous improvement and compliance with all sourcing practices and policies. Category responsibilities include Raw Materials, Packaging, non-Product Related, and Capex. Position level will be based on candidate qualifications and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop procurement management strategies and best practices to ensure maximum value in line with the global procurement strategy.
• Lead, coach and train team of 2-5 direct reports.
• Generate structural savings to deliver YOY bottom line enhanced revenue.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned categories' impact of price volatility on business performance.
• Drive change management process with internal partners.
• Identify and integrate key partner suppliers into programs focused against service, supply cost reduction and logistics operations.

• Communicate effectively to all levels of the company regarding procurement status.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, food, business or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience of increasing scope and responsibility within procurement/supply chain, ideally within consumer packaged goods or food industry.
• Lead with continuous improvement mindset and can-do attitude.
• Strong understanding of procurement, business and food/raw material industry.
• Ability to understand/communicate/present and execute procurement strategies
• Navigate within a cross functional matrix environment.
• Successfully lead or participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contract management and resolution procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
