SEEKING A DISHWASHER / PREP COOK

Phinney’s is a local grocer supplying produce, pantry staples, and a carefully curated selection of high quality goods. We provide weekly prepared dinners, available for take out only. On weekends, we offer sandwiches and larder items.

Phinney’s is seeking an individual who has interest in professional kitchen operations and is eager to work around food. Phinney’s is owned and operated by Stephen Forgione & Gayle Miner, who come from a fine-dining restaurant and hospitality background and have now transitioned into the grocery & prepared foods spaces. Phinney’s seeks to bring a new approach to grocery shopping to the local community by always prioritizing high quality foods produced by high quality people. The Dishwasher will work with and learn from Stephen and Gayle about all things food and as part of a small, dynamic team, this individual will play a crucial role in helping the business grow and evolve.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain kitchen organization and sanitation standards. This includes dishes and basic kitchen maintenance.
• Receive, inspect and store daily food deliveries.
• Assist with packaging and output of prepared food items.
• Work closely with Co-Owners, Stephen Forgione & Gayle Miner to grow Phinney’s.

REQUIREMENTS

• Interest in professional kitchen and/or retail operations.
• Ability to work within a small, dynamic team.
• Interest in learning and growing within the position.
• Must have weekend availability.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for 4 to 8 hours.
• For the safe and effective performance of this job, the ability to speak English is required.

PAY

$15 / hr
