Distribution Center Operations Coordinator - HBA
Job description
Position Summary:
The HBA Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in multiple functions to help create a more productive work environment. The operations coordinator must be well organized, detail-oriented individual who is able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced distribution center environment.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive before team to set up daily paper work
- Hand out daily specials
- Hands out pick sheets to selectors
- Works closely with FSS and Construction departments ensure prompt loading of specials
- Works with store support coordinator to ensure all store special request and needs are met.
- Track daily work volumes communicating with supervisor to ensuring staffing is correct
- Tracks new employee progress (rates)
- Tracks all team members pick rates.
- Works closely with other department’s coordinators and supervisors coordinating the interchange of product.
- Logs start and end time for Selectors
- Works with and organizes the monthly department safety meeting, communicates the minutes to Risk Management.
- Any other tasks as needed and directed by the supervisor
Working Relationships: This position will have daily contact with the DC Management team and warehouse personnel to include external contacts such as outside marketing vendors.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Preferred Education: Associates Degree and/or Bachelors Degree
Minimum Experience: 2 years distribution experience. Knowledge of Microsoft office suite (excel/word/power point)
Preferred Experience: 3 years of experience managing an office environment. Soft Skills: Position requires ability to multitask, strong work ethics, excellent communication skills (verbal and electronic) and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Organizational Astuteness, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Reporting Skills, Supports Innovation, Developing Standards, and Administrative Writing Skills
Physical: Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and balance for extended periods of time. Must also be okay with a sedentary work environment as well. Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and carry cases and totes weighing up to 60 lbs. over the head.
Hours & Conditions: Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings, nights, long shifts, and holidays. Adapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands of the warehouse. Exposure to vibrations, dust, dirt, noise, fumes and chemicals. Working in hot and cold temperature extremes (extremes vary between 100° Fahrenheit -20° Fahrenheit).
Other: Compliance with all company policies and procedures. Authorization to work in the United States, or the ability to obtain the same.
