Senior Draftsman

Ciao Wireless specializes in Low Noise and Medium Power Amplifiers & Subassemblies for Commercial, Defense and Hi-Rel applications. Designs are offered from 1 MHz to 50 GHz covering the various standard and specialty narrow and wide bands in-between.

Ciao Wireless is hiring full-time Senior Draftsman to work at its Camarillo, CA facility Training is available for those persons with the patience and work ethic to learn should you have little or no experience.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Applies scientific principles to design, structure development, machines, tools, systems or manufacturing processes. Predicts operation and economics of items under specific operating conditions.

You are responsible for:

• Collect information from engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
• Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
• Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Combines various details from sketches, drawings, or blueprints and makes required calculations.
• Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
• Provides a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Effectively work closely with other departments to complete common goals.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, Auto-CAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, web browser and file formatting.
• Candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience using Solidworks
• AutoCAD
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc
• 2+ years of experience in the RF industry or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD software
• Team player capable of working closely with customer personnel
• Associates Degree in related field (Preferred, not required dependent upon previous experience)
• 2+ years of experience in the RF industry or equivalent

Compensation: $14-$26/hr

(Compensation commensurate with experience)

The position includes competitive pay, growth opportunities as well as benefits including medical coverage, paid vacation, and a 401K program.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
