Position Description
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is currently seeking a hardworking individual for a Driver opening. The main purpose of this individual would be to provide transportation services for CSHL personnel and visitors in company vehicles.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include providing scheduled and on-demand transportation for employees and visitors on and between CSHL campuses, and various locations in the surrounding areas via 13 passenger Transit Vans and/or 16 passenger Village Trolley. Additional responsibilities include assisting passengers with luggage, and if necessary providing ADA assistance in properly equipped vehicles.
Position Requirements
Education: A high school diploma or equivalency
Experience: A valid and clean CDL driver’s license with Passenger endorsement is required for this position and related driving experience is preferred.
Other: Physical requirements for this position include sitting in a vehicle for extended periods, climbing in/out of the shuttle, lifting up to 20lbs, and operating ADA equipment on vehicles. Scheduled shifts may include early morning, late evening, and weekend hours.
