Admission Coordinator Position Overview:
Under the Director of Admission & Marketing, the Admission Coordinator tracks daily census, completes admission paperwork for incoming patients and confirms insurance benefits and authorizations. In addition, the Admission Coordinator will conduct facility tours for family members, develop relationships with physicians, hospital discharge planners, and other outside resources. Maintaining logs/reports, arranging room changes and providing information to those seeking placement for a loved one are essential to the role and to the success of the department.
Position Qualifications:
- Possess a high positive energy with a professional appearance
• Basic computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Great interpersonal skills • Excellent customer service skills
- Great organizational skills with ability to be flexible
- Must be detail-oriented, able to handle a fast-paced environment, and have critical thinking skills
- Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
Experience:
- 1-2 year(s): in a skilled-nursing facility highly preferred or a medical office or hospital setting
