Overview

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. provides services to people of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families, and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Economic Empowerment Case Manager works closely with and reports to the Program Director. They are responsible for effectively delivering education and career focused case management services to survivors of Human Trafficking. This position also oversees the economic empowerment computer lab and is also responsible for conducting relevant outreach throughout the 10 county Diocesan service region: including actively participating in community stakeholder meetings.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist enrolled participants in navigating educational and employment opportunities.
• Complete skill & interest inventories with all participants.
• Effective development of a service plan to meet educational and career needs of participants.
• The ability to efficiently complete all relevant documentation and paperwork for all enrolled participants.
• Secure community partnerships related to participant internships and employment.
• Assist all participants in completing an effective resume.
• Guide participants through the completion of financial literacy curricula.
• Comprehensive recording of service delivery for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Assist participants with education related activities and enrollments.
• Provide advocacy and hands on services to all program participants
• Develop proficiency regarding the use of the agency electronic record system (ClientTrack).
• The capacity to identify areas of need for participants and complete referrals to other services as needed.
• Assist participants in completing applications for employment.
• Conduct mock interviews with applicable participants.
• Attend and actively participate in community meetings related to education and employment opportunities.
• Develop an effective working relationship with relevant agencies throughout Lee County.
• Provide economic empowerment services to a full caseload of enrolled participants.
• Collaborate effectively with other program staff to ensure a full continuum of service provision for enrolled participants.
• Economic empowerment services are to be made available throughout the 10-county service area.
• Assume other duties as assigned by Program Director.

• Bachelor's Degree in social work, mental health counseling, criminal justice or another related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• 1 or more years of case management experience.
• Familiarity and experience with social service provision, specifically vulnerable populations.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of community resources especially the social service network throughout the area of responsibility.
• Must be able to pass a Level II background screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to conduct light physical activities.
• Bilingual English/ Spanish language skills are preferred.
