Are you an RN looking for a change in your career? Eddy Village Green at Cohoes is hiring for Full-time and Part-time Hospice RNs for our long-term care greenhouse model setting. Shifts are 7p-7a, Full-time (3x a week) or Part-time (2x a week) with an every other weekend commitment!

What you will do:

• You would be providing end of life care to our Hospice patients who are residing at EVG Cohoes.
• Schedule is three 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) per week with an every other weekend commitment

Responsibilities:

• You will be able to specifically provide Hospice care to patients who are residing in one of the EVG Cohoes greenhouses
• This is a unique and innovative opportunity to combine your passion of meeting the needs of our Hospice patients in a setting necessary for those requiring skilled nursing care.
• You will be a part of the admission process and remain a primary part of caregiving assuring symptom management needs and support of families and caregivers.
• You will not only be a part of the EVG community but also be in partnership with the Community Hospice’s interdisciplinary team!

What you will need:

• Valid NYS RN license
• Associates' degree in nursing

PREFERRED:

• 2 years' RN experience with recent LTC and/or hospice experience is preferred but not required.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills
• Knowledge of LTC regulations
• Excellent communication skills. '
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and peers.
