- Master's degree in related field; MN K-12 administrative license
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level
- Experience as an elementary assistant or lead principal preferred
- Post graduate coursework or licensure in Reading and Literacy
- Use of data to inform decisions at all levels
- Deep understanding of literacy and the Science of Reading
- Response to Intervention (MTSS) implementation
- Professional Learning Communities focused on student learning
- Standards-based instruction and assessment
- Responsive Classroom and/or PBIS
- Special Education
- Differentiated Instruction
