POSITION:

School Counselor

Rossford Elementary School

SALARY: Competitive Wages & Fringe Benefits (beginning at $44,404)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid and appropriate State of Ohio K-12 School Counselor License
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Genuine desire to support efforts to achieve the district vison: Preparing, inspiring, and empowering all students to achieve success

DUTIES:

• Monitors students' progress for the purpose of identifying issues and taking appropriate action for increasing student success
• Develops programs and classes (e.g. social skills, teamwork, leadership, bullying, coping with divorce or death) to meet the needs of students
• Prepares a variety of materials such as lesson plans, student activities, and correspondence for the purpose of documenting activities and providing information
• Schedules student activities on a variety of topics for the purpose of helping students academically, socially and emotionally reach success in school
• Actively participate in appropriate meetings and committees such as Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)
• Effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders
• Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as responsible citizens
• Fulfill responsibilities as outlined in applicable job description(s), including other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent of Schools
