RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center headquartered in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a full-time Supported Employment Specialist to function as part of the new On Track Anderson Program (OTAP). The right candidate will function as a hands on career coach for individuals who have experienced mental health and/or substance abuse issues that have impacted their employment, making a difference in everyday lives.

This position is appropriate for a case manager who has worked in employment or as a job coach and wishes to be in a more focused social services role.

REQUIREMENTS

IPS Supported Employment Specialists have a minimum of six (6) months working with individuals with substance use disorders, mental illness, and/or co-occurring disorders and have earned a Masters or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation of one (1) year of successful experience in delivering employment related services, or an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume and references) of two (2) years of successful experience in delivering employment related social services, substance abuse services, and/or co-occurring services.

JOB DUTIES

The OTAP Supported Employment Specialist position is responsible for developing supported career employment and/or supported education opportunities with youth and young adults (age 15-30) experiencing first episode psychosis by participating in an integrated care setting and providing ongoing educational and employment supports.
