BHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that offers a comprehensive and integrated system of care with wrap-around services for adults, children and families struggling with mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and other health-risk behaviors.

POSTION SUMMARY: Support YAS clients who are in recovery to find, obtain and keep competitive employment of their choice, utilizing evidence based practice.

ACCOUNTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING RESULTS

• Provide vocational counseling and career exploration for persons in recovery.
• Develop job sites in accord with individual needs.
• Provide on-the-job training and support services.
• Conduct career planning classes and vocational groups as needed, to teach resume writing, conduct mock interviews and explore employment opportunities.
• Provide direct service in accordance with contractual guidelines.
• Produce reports as assigned.
• Meet or exceed the established outcome measures of BHcare and our funding source.
• Be available to flex schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays if necessary.
• Required to use own vehicle on company business, or to transport clients.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, seminars as requested by supervisor, or as needed for professional development, or as required for accreditation or licensing.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

• Bachelors degree required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Psychiatric Rehabilitation is desirable.
• Must be proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office Word & Outlook, and if applicable, must have the ability to navigate through an electronic health record.
• Must have and maintain a valid CT drivers license if relocated to CT as a state resident more than 30 days ago. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organizations auto insurance plan.
