We're looking for a dedicated and talented ESL/ELL Teacher to become part of our Home Office Team!
You are the champion of education and the one who sets the foundation (pun intended) for learning! Amongst the essential functions of a teacher, your first job is to get scholars excited to learn. Competencies and Responsibilities
Purpose Driven and Progress Monitoring
- Confer with colleagues, administrators, students, and/or parents when necessary.
- Participate in various meetings for the purpose of receiving and/or providing information.
- Evaluates student progress on a regular basis and prepares progress reports.
- Participates in out-of classroom activities for pupils during the assigned working day, as required.
- Identifies academic and support services needs of ELLs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and resolving learning problems.
- Provides individual, small, and/or large group instruction, whenever appropriate, in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual and special abilities.
- Plans and coordinates the work of aides, teacher assistants, and other paraprofessionals.
- Communicates with parents and pupil personnel staff members on the individual pupil's progress and development.
- Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning the academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
Data Driven
- Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction; co-teaches with other staff members as required.
- Participates in the assessment of the English proficiency of pupils whose native language is other than English; helps to identify pupils eligible for bilingual education and/or English as a Second Language programs or other services designed to improve English language proficiency.
Solution Oriented Prioritization
- Selects and requisitions books, instructional materials, equipment, aids, and maintains required inventory records.
- Develops and maintains professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by the district and in self-selected professional growth activities.
- Identifies student's needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $60,500 - $90,000. Every teacher is credited for each year of their teaching experience as a certified teacher here at FA up to 13 years.

Your schedule will be Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:15pm.
Qualifications
- You preferably have 2+ years working in an urban or low-income setting and you understand how to get your students excited about learning.
- You are committed to living out our mission.
- You possess a valid New Jersey Teacher Certification in associated content and grade level.
- You have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (if graduated after Sept 2015) or 2.75 (before Sept 2015) for certification requirements
