Job description

About Us:

Burgess is the culmination of over 150 years of grape growing history originating on the precipitous slopes of Howell Mountain. Over the course of these years, a tradition of stewardship was forged by those working the land. From early Swiss-Italian immigrants with the Rossini Family to the innovator that was Lee Stewart and finally to our namesake vintner in Tom Burgess, our story has long been rooted by the legacies that were built before us.

Today, those legacies are carried forward by the Lawrence Family, who acquired Burgess in the fall of 2020. As farmers themselves, they knew how important it was to be responsible stewards of the land. As such, they immediately hired Meghan Zobeck as Burgess’ new winemaker. Meghan’s regenerative farming philosophy and low-intervention winemaking lie at the center of Burgess’ future. To complement this new era, Burgess is poised to unveil a new Estate that will usher in luxury hospitality, approached in an authentic and intentional fashion.
