SCG includes three branches - Special Event Production & Equipment Rentals, Lightscapes Landscape Lighting & Sound Installation, and Audio Visual Integration systems. Our office is located in Santa Barbara and we work throughout the county via events, lighting and A/V installations year round. SCG started in 2006 when our founder and president used his background as a technical theater expert as inspiration to put his business degree to good use. He recognized the need to blend technical savvy with an eye for design and detail in the growing event design industry. The company has grown to include a full calendar of hundreds of events annually including corporate events, fundraisers, weddings, and more. In 2020, Lightscapes by SPARK was born out of necessity and need - we are the only true lighting design experts in the landscape lighting sector in Santa Barbara, and work both at homes and estates as well as commercial spaces to ensure safety, beauty and ambiance with the best materials on the market. Additionally, SPARK acquired Jensen Audio Visual in 2022 to fill out our repertoire to include audiovisual integration systems, seamlessly equipping corporate and government buildings with the most up to date technology.

The Executive Assistant position will report directly to the company president to enhance the efficiency and organization of the work day. Tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing president’s schedule
  • Assist in writing orders for both events and lightscapes jobs
  • Manage paperflow and filing
  • Request and distribute insurance certificates for clients and vendors
  • Hiring communications and logistics
  • Manage/maintain office supplies
  • Assist in planning and implementation of employee appreciation events
  • General office organization and admin management
  • Manage communications and scheduling systems
  • Manage used equipment listings
  • Implement creative ideas to uphold company values

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Extremely tech savvy and fast with email
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Welcoming, upbeat and friendly demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • At least two years of office experience
  • Meticulously organized
  • Thrives in efficiency

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
