Job description
· Efficiently and independently complete assigned projects while coordinating with the team leader.
· Perform painting and paint – related duties to accomplish specific jobs.
· Complete all work responsibilities in a professional and workmanlike manner within the scope of the project.
· Load and unload painting equipment.
· Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape, and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
· Prep surfaces, fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
· Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
· Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel and other finish to surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
· Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes to structures, using brushes, spray guns, or rollers using up to 16’ extensions.
· Erect scaffolding, operate man lift or set ladders, to work above ground level.
· Wash and treat surfaces with power washers and sand rough spots to ensure that finishes will adhere properly.
· Clean paint brushes, equipment, and job site.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Work Conditions:
· Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 100lbs. Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending and kneeling. Must be able to safely work with sharp tools, and power equipment. Heavy use of one or two hands with repeated movements of fingers, grasping, moving, or assembling objects. Must be able to
work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. Painters work indoors and outdoors. Painting is physically demanding and requires a lot of bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing. Required to lift 50 pounds without assistance. May work at extreme heights, such as when climbing on roofs or ladders or in uncomfortable positions. Painters are regularly exposed to contaminants such as paint removers. May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors. Indoor locations may not always have heating or air conditioning. Required to work as part of a team. Frequent travel from jobsite to jobsite. Frequent social contact with customers or Coeur d’ a Alene Painting Group office staff. Must be sure all details are done on the jobsite, and their work is exact so that customers are satisfied. Must meet job time deadlines. May be required to use electronic devices to clock in and out for our time keeping system. Usually work a minimum of 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. May work longer hours during the summer when the weather is good may work weekends to meet a deadline. Hours can vary from 6:00am – 7:00pm or later.
Additional Requirements:
· Be at least 18 years old.
· Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
· Be customer service oriented.
· Excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
