This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the health center’s facilities, grounds, building
systems, and equipment, inclusive of all VVHC satellite locations.

Under limited supervision, serves as a Certified Commercial Journeyman and performs a variety of highly skilled
work involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of Electrical, Plumbing and or HVAC systems.

This position will be responsible for maintaining maintenance and repair in adherence to the maintenance
program of the health center’s facilities that includes inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical,
plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results, while complying with AAAHC requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school graduate or GED. 4-5 year Apprenticeship in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical.

Licensure/Certification: Valid Washington State driver’s license. Washington State Journeyman level commercial/
industrial certification in one of the following areas; Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance and new construction.

Equipment/Skills: Basic skills in maintenance, janitorial, plumbing, and electrical.

Physical demands: Ability to physically perform the functions of the job, including sitting, standing, walking,
lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching with or without reasonable accommodation.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Maintains buildings by performing low, medium to high level maintenance activities. Standards:

• Responding to, prioritizing, scheduling, and performing work order requests as approved by the

B. Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and
ventilating equipment. Standards:

• Coordinates system repairs

• Monitors service repair work

• Monitors system performance

• Acquires permits and coordinates inspections on projects.

• Evaluates equipment and makes suggestions for replacement.
  

C. Oversees general housekeeping services for all facilities. Standards:

• Coordinates performance of housekeeping standards with the Quality department to comply with

D. Oversees maintenance services at all facilities, including monitoring any contracted services.

E. Monitors control systems, Fire Alarm panels, Access Control systems, Camera systems.

F. Ensures compliance with all safety protocols.

G. Performs other related duties as assigned. Standards:
