VPI seeks a talented and dedicated Facilities & Operations Associate to work full-time in its Draper, Utah office. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and adaptable in supporting the Company in day-to-day facility management and operations support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• GED/High School Diploma – 18+ Years of Age
• Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for U.S. Security Clearance

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid Driver's License (DL)
• Required ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, climb ladders while carrying 25 pounds, and work in a variety of weather conditions
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout company facilities
• Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment, spaces, and facilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail and surroundings, helping the business to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment.
• Strong interpersonal, social, and teamwork skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional maturity with respect of other people's diversified cultural backgrounds
• Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions with sometimes limited supervision
• Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
• Exercise good judgment, keeping in mind company policies and procedures

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Two years of related experience
• Skills with various tools and equipment necessary for light maintenance, repair, and installation
• Previous shipping, receiving, or material handling experience

JOB Responsibilities

• Shipping, receiving, and material handling activities
• Supports procurement and administration team activities as needed
• Receives, manages, and processes facility requests, ensuring problems are resolved quickly
• Ability to work well with vendors and maintain good vendor relationships
• Acts as a liaison between employees and any outside contractors as needed to resolve specialized problems
• Supervises cleaning crews and maintenance workers as necessary
• Be active and responsive to urgent maintenance needs
• General and preventative office maintenance & repair duties
• Support office moves and furniture tear down, set up, and installation
• Manages building and equipment maintenance schedules
• Conducts equipment inspections and keeps maintenance records as necessary
• Helps to encourage building-wide safety
• Participates on the emergency preparedness planning team
• Helps to maintain inventory of supplies and reorders as needed
• Support of company activities, events, and meetings
• Runs company errands frequently
• Assisting management team where necessary
