Automotive Testing & Development Services, Inc. (ATDS) is currently seeking qualified individuals to apply for our Facility Maintenance Technician position located in California City, CA. This position will provide support and upkeep to both the facility grounds as well as road systems while working under the direction of the maintenance supervisor. Shift hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm

We’re looking to fill this position with someone who has entry-level maintenance/ laborer experience – construction, plumbing, small equipment operation, etc.
Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist with or lead a variety of projects such as landscaping, janitorial, road maintenance, and painting
• Support for carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other construction trades
• Labor and support for various testing activities to prepare test venues for vehicle testing
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, property, and structures
• Implement preventative maintenance measures
• Inspect and keep logs of offices, garages, labs, grounds, and equipment, for safety and functionality
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested
• Landscaping- Maintain Irrigation, planting, trimming, etc.
• Track inventory and supplies
• comfortable with fuel station operation
• track, order, and receive fuel deliveries
• ability to change hoses, nozzles, and filters
• inspect and maintain logs for light equipment such as fork trucks, compressors, fuel stations, fire valves, fire pumps, etc.
• lead work groups for ground and building maintenance projects
• skilled maintenance person for maintenance and small construction projects
• repair minor damage to walls and trim by patching and painting

• minor electrical work
• Experience with the operation of heavy equipment
• safely operate a scissor lift
• inspect building equipment and maintain equipment

All work will be done in compliance with all corporate, state, and federal rules and regulations including all EPA, Hazmat, OSHA, and CAL OSHA.

Required Qualifications:

• Physically capable of lifting 50-80 pounds unassisted
• Ability to operate various equipment such as powered and unpowered hand tools, blowers, trimmers, chain saws, etc.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Work well with minimal supervision
• Good attitude

• Abide by and acknowledge all safety practices in keeping with high safety standards
• skilled with hand tools and safe use
• clean driving record
• Must be available to work any shift

Years of Experience:

1-2 Years preferred

Level of Education / Certifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Forklift certification is highly desired
