Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a Facilities Technician to assist with a variety of facilities maintenance activities including flooring, drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscape, equipment, concrete, and roofing. In addition, performs a variety of miscellaneous repairs and maintenance items, such as hanging pictures and moving furniture. Assist with the operation of the warehouse, receiving, stocking, processing, and distributing materials and equipment management. Maintains the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.
Responsibilities:
- Assists or performs building maintenance repairs including but not limited to; flooring, drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscape, equipment, concrete, and roofing. Also, miscellaneous repairs and maintenance items, such as hanging bulletin boards, pictures and dispensers, and moving furniture and other items.
- Complete or assists with the completion of unclogging plugged and overflowing toilets, and other plumbing fixtures. Check for leaks in plumbing, make adjustments where possible, and inform Facilities Director, Facilities Manager, Facilities Supervisor, or Facilities Administrative Assistant when a plumber is required.
- Mop and cleanup of spills, vomit, and waste, emptying trashcans, and cleaning up around dumpster areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for proper usage, maintenance, and storage of Facilities tools and supplies.
- Sweeps and cleans sidewalks and parking lots as requested. Responsible for picking up trash, debris, etc. around the health center (buildings, sidewalks, and parking lots).
Requirements:
- Experience in building repairs and maintenance.
- Must have a reliable truck or utility van and hand tools.
- Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for the operation of the assigned vehicle; DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle-related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving with 7 years.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
