Classification: Exempt

Exempt:This position will be paid on a salary basis, semimonthly, for all hours worked and is considered exempt from overtime. Overtime premium pay is not paid to exempt employees.

Position Summary

Responsible for the daily administration and compliance of the day-to-day program operation. He/ she oversees compliance with regulatory DHCS/ accreditation standards and oversees of facilities/programs and operational staff compliance.

Tasks / Responsibilities (To include, but not limited to)

  • Supervise a team of Behavioral Health Technicians and Support Staff to assure timely completion of work and adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Provide supervision and support new hire orientation
  • Leads monthly trainings for Support Staff/Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Complying with state/federal/and or certification/licensure training requirements and assure compliance.
  • Directs staff in organizational development and full/ specific training of staff.
  • Looks after the overall management and quality of operational program’s/departments.
  • Provide employment support for operational staff as needed.
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and completion of all location complaints and investigations related to staff and clients.
  • Maintains compliance with national accreditation, governmental regulations and maintains all program operating licenses.
  • Responsible for overall program performance, including client satisfaction with services.
  • Responsible for all facility/clinic improvements and appearance.
  • Adheres to company standards of conduct.
  • Ensure sufficient communication of information between all levels of the organization and implementation of strategies.
  • Participates in 24-hour Emergency Services, which includes availability for back-up rotation coverage for after hours, weekends, or holiday emergencies.
  • Maintains appropriate state license/registration/certification for scope of practice.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as delegated.
  • Maintain professional standards and follows the policies and procedures of the organization to include all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Individual communicates Lead Project Manager/ HR Advisor and COO weekly on property and operational/ safety needs and progress.
  • Management skills—the individual schedules Tech trainings and safety trainings within the company
  • Quality management—the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and compliance and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness throughout.
  • Judgment - the individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment, and makes timely decisions.
  • Planning/organizing—the individual prioritizes and plans work duties and license renewals, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. · Safety and security—the individual stands as Safety Officer by observing safety/ security procedures
  • A knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning the treatment of for behavioral health and substance use disorder.
  • In depth understanding of co-occurring mental health disorders and their appropriate treatments/interventions.
  • Manages a team and has strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Communicates effectively (both written and verbal) with customers and colleagues.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, adaptable, positive.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Environmental/Physical Requirements

  • Office/Sedentary Requirements – Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Exposure to clients infected with Hepatitis B, HIV, TB, or other Infectious Diseases.

Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; preferred Bachelor's Degree in human services
  • Registered or Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor recognized by the state
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience as a group facilitator in Substance Abuse and Mental Health settings
  • Knowledgeable of state licensing agency guidelines.
  • Must be familiar with 12 Step Recovery programs
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records; preferred KIPU
