HDR is looking for a Federal Project Manager to join our Federal Business Group. This position is located in either our San Antonio or Austin, TX office.
Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Federal Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
- Plan and manage all aspects of small to large projects for federal clients
- Independently develop project scopes of work, fee proposals, schedules and budgets
- Establish and foster client relations and be involved with marketing, proposal development, and new client development
- Lead meetings with various governing agencies for charrettes, design reviews and scoping
- Monitor multi-discipline design teams for progress, project cost, budget adherence and schedule.
- Communicate project status with clients and work with clients to resolve project conflicts, review comments, performance, budget and scope issues
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
- Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 7 years related experience
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience
- PE or RA or the ability to obtain within 12 months
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Preference given to local candidates
