The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for the leadership of all accounting and finance functions within the company. Major stakeholders include Business Area (BA) Finance, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Administration. Duties include but are not limited to managing the accuracy and productivity of all day-to-day activities of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, collections, cash flow, inventory, COGS, standard costing, fixed asset records, and booking of payroll/benefits. Process and issue timely month-end financial reports; develop and submit all budget and forecasting reports to include reporting on all variances with recommendations to ensure all financial plans are consistent with organizational goals.
Main task at the start of the assignment will be to build and establish new Finance Department with a Senior accountant and a Finance Assistant for AP & AR. This position will perform many of the task-level functions on the cost/operations side. Develop good understanding of the Global biological/ chemical indicator and cleaning verification P&L (Integrated Margins
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Part of the company’s Management Team
- Head of the Accounting and Finance Department and reports directly to Senior Finance Director in the Business Area (BA) and dotted line to the local Managing director.
- Build, establish and train a new Finance Team.
- Act as Business Partner for all relevant decision-makers in the company. Make financial performance transparent and identify improvement potential
- Manage the financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
- Ensure timely and accurate Getinge Group Finance reporting according corporate rules, regulations, and adhering to Group schedules and deadlines.
- Develop good understanding of integrated margin of products/product lines and work together Global Sales organization on Integrated Margin analysis.
- Develop, update and maintain the company’s standard costs and perform monthly variance analyses (Labor, Material, Overhead) and guide functional leaders on areas for improvement
- Support and review Business cases for new product development in close collaboration with R&D and Product Management and Operations.
- Analyze trends in cost variances, production volumes, and material usage and implement timely adjustments by working collaboratively with Operations and Admin leadership
- Perform the cost accounting tasks for the company’s manufactured products, including product and project costing, developing labor standards and burden rates.
- Collect and analyze data about the company’s operational costs
- Analyze production and purchasing processes from financial point of view
- Build and maintain operations and R&D financial KPIs with strong focus on cost and efficiency drivers
- Manage inventory control and drive working capital improvements for inventory, AP and AR
- Follow-up on existing business cases and perform regular impairment testing
- Provide analysis of monthly financial results both to local and Business Area management
- Manage the rolling forecast process in collaboration with local and BA management
- Build a strong Internal Control environment and work on further development of the existing
- Internal Control procedures.
- Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analyses
- Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
- Respond to audit reports and present findings to management
- Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
The candidate we seek must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Advanced degree and/or certifications (CPA, MBA or CMA) preferred.
- 5-7 years' experience in accounting leadership as a business partner in a manufacturing company, ideally with a multinational background
- A minimum of five (5) years’ management experience including three (3) years’ experience managing others.
- Cost accounting background is a must
- Experience in Healthcare, Med Device, or Med Tech industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in a large, multinational, heavily matrixed organization
- Strong team building skills and proven ability to work with a diverse group of people in a global-matrixed environment
- Experience as Finance director, Accounting and Finance Manager, Controller in a small or midsize subsidiary ($10-100 M), preferably within a multinational company.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably within the medical device/medtech industry.
- Demonstrated experience in setting-up costing systems and background in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is required
- Solid experience with ERP system functions and willingness to focus on details
- Willingness to work in environment, which requires organizational change and new processes.
- Convincing personality. Drive change in a smart and efficient way.

- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to establish good relationship with other department in the company and in the Getinge Group.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other database concepts with emphasis on strong Excel experience including modeling and analytics.
- Strong track- record of leading, developing and retaining a strong team.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
- Demonstrated management of staff and personnel (development, reviews, etc.)
- Manufacturing background with in-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting for a manufacturing organization
