Job Summary
The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Specialist is responsible for selling financing, warranty, maintenance, and insurance programs to new and used buyers. Helps qualify customers and works with financial lenders to develop competitive and compelling financing programs.
- Presents relevant financing and insurance to customers and provides them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products, extended warranties, and a manufacturer/dealer service options/policies/procedures.
- Develops good working relationship with key lending institutions and maintains detailed knowledge of current rates and programs
- Processes finance and leasing agreements accurately with necessary lender and governmental approval and compliance
- Trains and provides the sales team with information to help pre-market the dealership finance and insurance programs
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports as requested by management
- Achieves monthly forecasts for F&I income, penetration levels, and customer service scores
- Serves as a unit salesperson as opportunities and schedules dictate.
- Proactively assists with other departments as time and priorities
- Associates or Bachelor degree required
- 3+ years experience within an F&I or relatable position required
- 2+ years automotive or powersports experience preferred
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday schedule
- Strong background in business, mathematics, marketing and computers
- Energetic and positive attitude with proven record of building strong relationships with fellow employees and customers
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a process-driven environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
