You will be joining the Risk Operations Team, an expanding critical team with a focus on Risk, Capital, Collateral and Treasury Management. The role involves working directly with trading desks, external counterparties, and teams throughout the business in a front office environment. The team plays a vital role in the decision-making process of the business in terms of firm risk management and optimisation.
As part of the team, you will be exposed to the full life cycle of SIGs trading activity and develop a fundamental understanding of the industry and trading environment which SIG operates in. The team works at the intersection of trading, technology, and external counterparties, where you are empowered to develop strong relationships and work on exciting, valuable projects which have real impact and contribute to our success. You will develop an in-depth exposure to all the different trading desks and business areas at SIG while completing projects to improve efficiency and add value.

Responsibilities:
- Daily calculation and reporting of firm capital PnL and firm efficient trading positions
- Communicate and attribute the PnL drivers to market moves with senior stake holders
- Perform daily reconciliations to prime broker accounts on firm capital and exchange traded positions
- Liaise with internal and external parties to resolve any differences identified and to escalate identified risks when needed
- Analyse and distribution of monthly Profit and Loss budgets and Risk reports for relevant steak holders pertaining to Firm Capital
- Continued development and project work on daily processes and reporting
- Monitoring and analysis of prime broker costs and returns with particular focus on financing
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 1 years’ industry experience within middle office, trade support or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills
- Exposure to Excel, SQL or Python is advantageous
- Ability to work on your own initiative and not afraid to ask questions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
