Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Financial Intelligence Unit Analyst who is responsible for assisting in investigations and monitoring of transactions, mitigating money laundering risks to the Credit Union and its members. The right candidate will have a sense of urgency, the ability to improve operational efficiency through thoughtful process improvement, and a strong commitment to delivering best in class service.

What You Will Do:

• The FIU Analyst will be monitoring, analyzing, reporting to the FIU Supervisor ensure BSA regulatory requirements are met.
• The FIU Analyst is responsible for account identification, analyzing and reporting any activity believed to be associated with unusual and suspicious account activity such as potential structuring, money laundering or terrorist financing to ensure the Credit Union follows the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act.
• The FIU Analyst will monitor the monthly alerts, cases, 90 Day reviews, SARs and other duties as needed to assist in investigation and ongoing reporting.
• Responds to inquiries from team members regarding, suspicious, regulatory and procedural compliance in the areas of BSA, MIP and OFAC in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining a monthly queue of alerts and completing within regulatory time frames.
• Researches alerted suspicious activity, reviews case files, and prepares Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR). Assists in maintaining and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for AML, BSA, CTR, CIP, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act processes.
• Serves as subject matter expert on Bank Secrecy Act and suspicious activity.
• Educates team members on identifying BSA/AML/CTR red flags.
• Participates in project development as assigned by the BSA Officer
• Provides backup support for all FIU Department functions (e.g., answers and processes emails).
• Completes assigned special projects.

What We Are Looking For:

• 
  Two (2) to three (3) years of Branch experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Investigative experience preferred
• Bank branch / Teller experience preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of financial regulations, and BSA/AML/CTR standards.
• Experience with Verafin software and processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to use computer applications, adding machines, telephones, and all related business equipment

Pay Grade Info:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $26.82 - $33.52
