QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school graduate.
  • Training and competence in bookkeeping procedures.
  • Accounting experience
  • Accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and filing procedures.
  • Positive relationship skills and able to work cooperatively with others.
  • Respect for confidentiality.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.

REPORTS TO: Principal/Assistant Principal/Office Manager


SUPERVISES: n/a


JOB GOALS: Assist in maintaining an efficient, well organized, and productive front office in order to enhance student learning, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate and oversee all City High School activity fund accounts: purchase orders, payment, etc.
  • Maintain City High Schools general fund budget: code and process requisitions and subsequent purchase orders, post monthly budget transactions, notify department chairs of budget status, maintain and prepare budget for current and upcoming fiscal year.
  • Coordinate City High Schools athletic ticket sales: set up tickets and cash boxes for events, count and bank receipts and complete ticket/cash reports to be forwarded to the ESC, order/purchase tickets as needed.
  • Coordinate school event ticket sales: set up tickets and cash boxes, count and bank receipts and record accordingly.
  • Coordinate City High School fees: payment process at registration (August and throughout school year) and related fee waivers program, account for and bank all receipts, assure notification for NSF checks and necessary repayment, distribute receipts to appropriate accounts.
  • Notify students/parents of financial obligations and fines.
  • Maintain records on all donations given to City High School directly or through ICCSD Foundation.
  • Conduct daily banking.
  • P Card oversight
  • Vending/School Café reports
  • Assist in answering telephones and help in Main Office as needed. (Coverage for lunch, absences, etc of other office personnel).
  • Other duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


  • 200 Contract Days. Salary and calendar year to be established by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the District’s policy on Evaluation, State Statute, and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
