We are a growing high-end residential and commercial construction firm based in Menlo Park. Our projects span the bay area. We are seeking motivated and experienced fine finished carpenters for full-time work. Required:

• Minimum 5 years fine finish carpenter experience. Preference given to lead carpenter candidates (with consideration for higher end pay)
• Pay based on experience and quality of work
• Require hands-on experience with carpentry tools and materials, strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable vehicle & proof of insurance (truck preferable); Reliable cell phone; Tools to perform tasks
• Clean DMV record; Drug free
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (eVerify utilized)
• Work well with others and independently; follow directions given by supervisors
• Speak and write in English and understand basic math
• Good physical condition; good safety record
• Positive attitude & honest.

Desired:

Ability to...

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber, and other materials according to measurements
• Build/install windows, window trim, crown moulding, baseboards, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or reconstructed items
• Lay-out floors, roofs, or drywall ensuring level and compatible
• Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated
• Inspect work; complete repairs and maintenance
• Work on varied carpentry tasks
• Estimating experience a plus
• Out-of-state carpentry experience a plus

Benefits:

• Maximum 40-hour work week (with occasional optional overtime)
• 24 hours minimum sick time accrual per year, health insurance, Roth IRA savings plan

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
