Fleet Technician
This position is responsible for executing the maintenance plan of our fleet modular offices. The fleet technician is responsible for assuring compliance to industry standards, as well as performing the daily maintenance and upkeep of company products. Excellent handyman, organizational and communication skills are a requirement to be successful in this position.
- Regularly perform maintenance jobs and repairs on large commercial and Federal projects; including drywall, caulking, flooring, painting services, faucets, sinks, toilets, HVAC filters, changing locks, trimming, skirting, power washing, general cleaning, basic electrical and rubber membrane roof repairs.
- Assist in creating cost budgets prior to start of any major repairs by obtaining quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Communicate any substantial hard-cost changes to CEO.
- Conduct weekly/biweekly inspection of company modular offices in the storage yard to identify immediate and long-term deficiencies regarding the fleet and ensuring proper storage procedures have been implemented.
- Oversee fleet rentals by being present upon receiving/ shipping of units, conducting inspections to identify any necessary repair work required, scheduling deliveries of units, managing installation/set up at customer sites.
- Conducts customer walkthroughs for each leased unit to ensure product is correctly prepared for turn over to the customer.
- Clean up and maintain a tidy job site ensuring a safe work environment and reporting any
accidents or incidents. Must ensure vendors, subcontractors or personnel at jobsite is wearing the right safety equipment at all times when repair work is being conducted on a modular office trailer.
- Ensure all products adhere to industry standards and regulations for the industry.
- Responds to customer service calls in a timely manner and obtaining customer acknowledgement of work provided.
- Regularly document and report on current projects to include writing inspection checklists, progress reports, and uploading pictures for quality assurance regarding the maintenance and upkeep of the fleet management.
- Manage inventory of company materials for use to repair fleet offices including conducting a biannual inventory check, maintaining the inventory tracker and reordering materials when levels are low.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for job functions and monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role or with similar functions; commercial facilities preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle. The storage yard is in Leesburg and the main office is in Winter Garden. The fleet manager will need to spend time at both locations as well as customer job sites for service calls and building installations.
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC systems. Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
Computer skills, excel, Microsoft word, construction software + CRM

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
