About Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed, not-for-profit hospital located in Ahoskie, NC. The 15-bed ER serves approximately 21,000 patients per year from the local community and surrounding towns. This modern facility provides a wide range of health services to its 39,000 residents in the four-county area.

Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Position Summary

The Food Service Nutrition Aide is responsible for preparing food, performing setup, stocking, clerical, cashier and money-management tasks in the retail areas for ECU Health Roanoke Chowan Hospital patient and patrons while assuring safe and sanitary food and equipment handling procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation

• Must be able to read, write and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is encouraged)

Preferred:

• High School Diploma, Equivalent, or higher

Other Information

• 24 hours a week

• Rotational Shift (6 am - 2 pm and/or 10:30 am - 7 pm)

• Required to work rotating weekends

• Great part-time benefits
