Role: Forklift Driver /Trade Counter Assistant

Salary: €30,000

Duration: Permanent

Location: Ballymount, Dublin 12

Benefits: Pension contribution, Health insurance contribution & Death in service, after 6 months.

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join one of Ireland's leading suppliers within the construction industry that provide a range of high-quality goods and materials nationwide. They are on the lookout for an experienced forklift driver to join their team, you’ll be given the opportunity to work with some of Ireland's major construction brands assisting them with orders and providing excellent customer service.

You will be required to safely operate counterbalance and reach forklifts throughout the warehouse preparing orders for dispatch. Other duties will include communicating with the trade counter to ensure all orders are picked correctly and completed on time. You’ll be capable of working in a fast-paced environment that can assist at the trade counter when required handling customer queries over the phone by email and face to face.

Responsibilities

· Operating counterbalance and reach forklifts.

· Loading and unloading trucks.

· Lifting heavy goods.

· Preparing orders for dispatch.

· Dealing with customer queries over the phone and in store.

· Processing orders through the company system.

Requirements

· Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Licenses are essential.

· Experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse.

· Excellent communication skills and a friendly telephone manner.

· Experience working with Microsoft word.

· A proactive and optimistic attitude.

· A desire to learn and expand on existing product knowledge.

· Background in construction is an advantage.
