Freedom Boat Club is an international leader in owning and franchising Boat Clubs since 1989. We have over 370+ locations in operations throughout North America, Europe and Australia. The Member Experience Center is the primary way Freedom Boat Club’s members seek assistance with their reservations and membership questions. It is our mission to deliver remarkable experiences to members and exceed their expectations. We are currently seeking a highly driven, Member Retention Specialist to join our Member Experience team.

Job Summary

The Member Retention Specialist is a customer service position that will report to the Member Experience Director and will assist in all activities associated with inbound and outbound customer operations while owning member retention calls and emails. This position will work closely with member cancelation requests, with the goal of retaining memberships by offering other membership plans or retention incentives.

This role will also assist with basic membership and reservation questions. Basic member assistance includes making and managing member reservations, email account management and tracking, answering a high volume of member calls, and ensuring membership holds and cancellations get processed accurately.

This role is a full-time, remote position with varied days and hours. Some early evening availability will be required. Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service

  • Soft sales experience is preferred

  • Embrace change and growth as the member experience center is growing at a rapid pace

  • Strong customer service and ability to manage high call volumes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to meet established deadlines

  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional process changes

  • Protect and secure customers' personal information

  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools

  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction

  • CRM experience is a plus
