NJ design studio is seeking a freelance designer who can assist during busy times with AutoCAD, Photoshop, project specifications, installation details, sourcing, and accessorizing. We do residential work in Westfield, Montclair, Short Hills, and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will be able to work well with our principal designer and in keeping with the studio’s aesthetic. The primary need is for AutoCAD, including detailed drawings for custom built-ins and light interior renovations, and 2-D floor plans and elevations. Designer will also need to help prepare proposals and work orders for specified goods. Site visits and in-office meetings (adhering to recommended social distancing practices) will occasionally be required.

The ideal candidate:

- will have schooling and experience working on interiors projects
- will have exceptional AutoCAD skills
- will have the ability to hand render and do 3D work
- will be able to work independently
- will communicate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues and vendors
- will have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work flow, and meet time sensitive deadlines
- will have the ability to create construction drawings for renovations and custom millwork
- will be highly self-motivated and have a positive attitude
- will be an excellent communicator
- will have high level of professionalism
