About the Job:
The Freight Invoice Resolution Specialist Level II will be responsible for auditing and correcting CTS/OLT’s clients freight invoices that fail to pass the standard validations in the audit system. This will require them to review and reconcile invoices that have failed for either Cost or Non-Cost related non conformances. All audit failures will be addressed utilizing a combination of company procedures and customer business requirements. The Freight Invoice Resolution Specialist Level II will have direct external communication responsibilities with carriers in the resolution process and will act as the liaison between the audit team and customers. Repetitive audit failures that can be corrected through adjustments to our Master Data or through initiatives with the OLT Procurement team will be forwarded directly to the respective internal OLT Department for resolution. The Freight Invoice Resolution Specialist Level II will be responsible for some analysis of audit activity and running audit-related reports for customers.
In This Role, You Will:
- Ensure that audit/freight payment tasks are accounted for and performed to Odyssey standards.
- Research invoices by using company software and by communicating with transportation companies directly for necessary documentation needed in the validation process.
- Audit transportation freight bills submitted by carriers for validity against customer business rules and/or Odyssey contracts or agreements.
- Resolve any billing discrepancies with carriers.
- Escalate disputed invoices to the respective department Supervisor or internal department, as designated by the Supervisor.
- Forward all invoices requiring customer intervention to the Odyssey CRS tool for issue resolution.
- Notify the Supervisor of any missing or inaccurate data in our audit system which is causing audit errors.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of customer Audit Business Rules and/or all CTS/OLT’s contract/tariff agreements.
- Research audit disputes on customer past due payment requests and communicate findings with carrier.
- Communicate resolutions to invoice failures with customers through the CRS tool and through direct email communications.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in auditing invoices.
- Maintain work activity to departmental standards.
- Consciously maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Required:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in the transportation field or in a related area is a plus.
- Strong understanding in the interpretation and execution of transportation rate contracts and tariffs for motor and rail modes required.
- Knowledge of general transportation rules and regulations a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects simultaneously.
- Good analytical skills in identifying areas for cost improvement or cost avoidance.
- Computer Skills: Solid MS Office expertise, including strong Excel skills.
- Self-starter with the willingness and ability to identify process improvements.
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision.

This is an in-office role based in Kennesaw, GA.
