The Seasons East Greenwich is a special not-for-profit assisted living residence offering traditional assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.

Summary of Job: The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Concierge is to warmly greet visitors and vendors to the Residence, direct the flow of activity and inquires at the front desk, and maintain a welcoming and calm atmosphere.
We have a part-time position open:
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 4pm to 8pm, every other weekend.
Will be required to work some holidays.

Pay rate is based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the 1st point of contact for the guests and visitors in person as well as phone in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Effectively operate the Residences phone, paging and emergency call system.
  • Answer telephones, screen calls, documenting and relaying messages to the appropriate individuals/departments.
  • Provide information to callers regarding the Residence and direct individuals to the correct destination in the building.
  • Maintain the sign-out/sign-in procedures for guests, visitors and vendors as well as on-site staff.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the administrative team.
  • Manages beauty and barber and schedules resident visitations with family and friends.
  • Acts as concierge for residents (calling transportation, handling telephone and/or cable problems, checking newspaper deliveries etc.)
  • Review COVID 19 screening questionnaires with visitors and replenish supply of questionnaires and other COVID 19 related supplies at the Front Door and employee entrance.
  • Take temperature of visitors or vendors upon entry to the facility.
  • Escorts residents into our visitation suite and observes resident visitors with family/friends according to the Seasons’ policy as needed.
  • Advise residents and visitors on current DOH procedures for safe visitation.
  • Direct resident inquires to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Monitor the front entrance, assist with intake of deliveries (light lifting required).
  • Sort out mail for staff and residents and place in appropriate mailboxes or deliver as needed. Deliver daily newspapers to resident apartments.
  • Keep office shelves, counters, cabinets, and front desk area organized, neat and tidy.
  • Secure front entrance at end of shift.
  • Function as a team member, willing to help various departments as needed; seek out work during down time on shift.
  • Manage the front desk during the activation of Residence’s evacuation plan and/or drills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum education requirement - High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Windows & Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be polite, well groomed, professionally dressed, organized and have good follow through.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work weekends and rotating holidays.
  • Able to operate basic office equipment such as, computer, printer, copier, fax and multi-line telephone.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to adapt to frequent interruptions /changing situations and traffic flow.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, carry objects less than 25 pounds and move intermittently during working hours.
