About us

We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to operate one of the world's leading sea turtle conservation programs here in south Palm Beach County. In collaboration with the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District and the City of Boca Raton, Coastal Stewards create awareness of the plight of the beautiful coastal and marine environment southeast Florida is known for. At the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex in Boca Raton and in local communities like Boynton Beach and Delray Beach, donor-funded outreach programs engage and inspire learners of all ages. We are proud that because of our donors, we have amplified our rescue, rehab, research and release efforts since the beginning of the pandemic. Not counting the various partnerships with other amazing nonprofits, the Turtle Team completed 26 surgeries, including Fibropapiloma (FP) Tumor Removal surgeries, supplied 4 satellite and 3 acoustic tags to aid in migratory research, partnered with eight research organizations and universities, presented at the Marathon Sea Turtle Hospital Workshop and travelled to the nation's capital to attend Jane Fonda and Greenpeace USA's Fire Drill Friday climate emergency rally to draw attention to the impacts that climate change had on sea turtles in 2022. We were asked by the Florida Wildlife Commission to participate in the nationwide call to help rescue and rehabilitate cold-stunned sea turtles from New England. Nine highly endangered Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtles were successfully treated and released between November 2022 and February 2023..

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Manager to join our team. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for creating, organizing and directing new fundraising initiatives as well as supporting current fundraising operations. As a Fundraising Manager, you'll be interacting with a wide variety of employees, stakeholders and potential donors on a daily basis, so we'd like to hire someone with exceptional interpersonal skills who is comfortable working in a collaborative and creative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage fundraising volunteers.
• Manage foundation and corporate giving.
• Execute fundraising campaigns.
• Develop and maintain donor and constituent relationships.
• Create a lasting financial impact.
• Evaluate effectiveness of strategies employed by the communication staff.
• Develop a professional image.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,570.00 - $46,745.00 per year
