Position Summary
An entry-level position in the Machine Shop Department. This job classification can promote to CNC Operator, Metal Parts Finisher, Production Saw Operator, or other machine operator position.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Count parts
- Clean work area
- Grind metal parts
- Blast Parts
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Required
- High School diploma or equivalent
Technical Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful
- Ability to lift 25 pounds throughout the shift
- Ability to read production instructions in English
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand up to three hours at a time and during an 8-10 hours shift
- Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead
- Uses hands to grind metal parts
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work in a heated environment
