Post Summary
A vacancy exists for the position of a General Operative to work as part of the Facilities & Services Team with the provisional assignment to the Premises Services section of the Estates & Facilities Department. As part of the Premises Services Team, you will work under the direction of your assigned Area Executive Craftperson (AEC) and in the absence of the AEC you will report to the assigned Premises Manager.
The Facilities & Services Team carry out both planned, routine and reactive works on the estates infrastructure. The University’s grounds are geographically scattered, currently comprising of the island campus site in the city centre and various peripheral sites including Santry, the Trinity Centre at St. James’s Hospital, the Boat Club Islandbridge, the Enterprise Centre Pearse Street, Trinity Hall student residences and the Botanic Gardens at Dartry, etc. The operative will be required to work at any or all of the University’s site.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
Hours of Post: 39 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly General Operative Salary Scale (€1,105.44 - €1,264.18 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
