Position Description

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Process Operations Supervisor to join the Autoclave Operations team . The supervisor will provide supervision for the autoclave operations work force. The Supervisor is committed to safety as the top priority and to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Focus on safety, process operations and productivity.
• Have responsibility and accountability for supervising the daily execution of operational activities in their area of responsibility.
• The role requires strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a sound background in the technical proficiencies required for operations of the mill.
• Assign and coordinate activities with work crews, provides daily safety meetings, leadership, and guidance to carry out tasks.
• Direct daily execution of work processes and provides leadership to the crew.
• Follow Federal/State Regulations and Barrick standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven safety record and ability to support work group in achievements of safety, environmental, and production goals required
• Five (5) years process operations experience required
• Ability to supervise numerous employees at once required
• Ability to facilitate crew line-outs, safety meeting etc. required
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures and to hold fellow employees/contractors accountable to follow company policies and procedures required
• Experience with computer operations preferred
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position required
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
