Governance Risk and Compliance Consultant
The Advisory and Digital Services team is made up of a diverse group of individuals and experts from around the world, encompassing a broad range of advisory and digital services skillsets. In collaboration with our colleagues across the Arup community, we deliver specialist services across a range of sectors including transport, cities, water, energy and science, industry, and technology, throughout Ireland and across Europe. Our clients face a myriad of complex challenges, from successfully adapting for the green economy to the operational resilience challenges brought about by emerging global events. We strive to collaborate across Arup, deepening our understanding of our clients’ visions for the future and thereby delivering meaningful and impactful work.
Your responsibilities
- To develop and manage a Governance, Risk and Compliance framework for clients and, where applicable, their externally delivered operation services providers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legislative and contractual requirements and alignment with any client policies and procedures.
- Ensure both initial and ongoing ISO and GDPR compliance and deal with any new or emerging compliance requirements as they come.
- Advise clients of best practice in relation to data security and management, include Data Protection Policies, Data Retention, Data and Information Security, Subject Access Requests, etc.
- To review business continuity planning by clients and their service providers, ensuring Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management planning is comprehensive and its resilience tested.
- Implement a governance programme including risk management processes, data security management and a structured audit programme, including management of audit actions and remediation plans.
- Maintaining Risks and Issues Registers, Audit logs, Actions Lists, etc and coordinating and facilitating regular reviews.
- Provide reporting into the client to support their relevant GRC corporate requirements.
Your Education/Profile
- 4 years minimum experience working in a GRC or related environment.
- Degree or 3rd level qualification (HETAC Level 7 or higher) in business, accounting, engineering, management or other relevant experience.
- Project Management, Quality Management, Risk Management and/or Change Management or related certifications preferred.
- Experience with ISO standards is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in risk management, compliance management and governance of an operation or project would be desirable.
- Experience in incident management, technical change management and SDLC.
- Experience in managing stakeholders.
